Moving forward, do you recommend using Windows Defender over Kaspersky? I could certainly groove to not paying for the software every year, and if it's not much better then I'm just complicating life. It disrupted my game the other day and I was not a happy camper. Regarding Acrobat, can I disable the Adobe GC Invoker Utility, Creative Cloud Desktop, etc., at startup without interfering with the programs' ability to run? But I should probably uninstall that old stuff, right? Yeah, I'm being an old codger. My work provides me with Office 365 but I've been a stick-in-the-mud since this is my personal computer. Now, you'll probably tell me to jettison Office 2010. The biggest hogs (this morning, at least) are Microsoft Teams, Brave Browser (Firefox was higher until I closed it), and MS Word 2010.
If you wish to continue with Kaspersky then I would advise uninstalling it and then doing a re-install, with a re-boot in between. In general the built-in Windows Defender is a very competent A/V but that is your choice. i an surprised to see Adobe Flash still listed but I think you will find that updating your computer should get rid of it as even Adobe say you should not use it unless it is absolutely essential.Ī lot of the listed errors involve Kaspersky.
Look at your list of installed programs, yes you have a lot of Adobe's software on this computer but none of them need to run except when you want them to, so if they are showing up in 'Start-up' they can be safely disabled. CCleaner is also good for this since you have it. Then look at the column 'Start-up' and disable anything that you don't need to have running at start-up. If you open Task Manager to 'More details' when looking at 'Processes' if you click on the word 'Memory' at the top of that column you can rank the processes in order of the memory they are using which is helpful.

Most likely a Creative Cloud update didn't work right, or got interrupted. I'll probably have to visit the Adobe forums and see if I can find help on sorting out that mess. Win 10 always runs a lot of processes all the time,thats normal.on my main computer after a days work,the memory use is about 25%.so your probably a little high.
For example, I have four instances of Acrobat.exe running. Probably just a few too many processes running.Ĩ current apps, 139 background processes, 104 Windows processes I have no idea if this is "normal" but 48% of memory is in use and so many of the processes seem to be duplicates or triplicates.
